This summer I’ve been dropping word studies from a book of the Bible without naming it, and 12 of you guessed it. Two people guessed after only one clue! Time to make it official.

Over 15 episodes, we’ll watch Paul show Timothy (and us) how to tell sound teaching from teaching that just sounds impressive, and how the truth of the gospel is meant to reshape everything from our relationships to our leadership to our money.

1 Timothy contains one of the most controversial passages in the New Testament (on women teaching and authority). I will explain the main interpretative schools and why I've changed my mind and landed on a minority view.
