This month I’ve been updating some of my older library resources because the content doesn’t expire, but it can always be improved. In June I featured three articles on the tools of Bible study.

Improved Bible Study Tools

• What Books Should I Read to Learn to Study the Bible? — a recently revised and updated reading list for anyone who wants to build a better Bible study library.

• Online Tools for Deeper Bible Study — also recently updated: trusted websites, apps, maps, commentaries, and language resources, all in one place.

• How to Do a Word Study — not updated because the process hasn't changed; a step-by-step, with examples. No Greek required.

NEW WORD STUDY: Godliness, eusebeia, G2150 — This is the first of several new word studies I'll be adding over the summer. Sharp-eyed readers may notice a pattern in the words I'm choosing. They're all from the book I'm studying for the next podcast season. I suspect It is near impossible to guess from just one word study. But if you think you know which book it is, hit reply and tell me. If you're not sure yet, keep guessing as I post new word studies. I'll confirm the book when enough studies are up to make it a fair game.

Summer Studies

The Bible Study Boot Camp is a free, 7-day email course that walks you through a real passage from observation to application (one short lesson per day). Summer is a good time to run the whole method on something you’ve been meaning to study.
